Interaction between the cold sensing TRPM8 receptor and an antibiotic

The binding properties are being investigated between an antibiotic compound and overexpressed TRPM8 receptors in HEK cells with Saturation Difference Spectroscopy (STD NMR). This special technique is suitable for excluding/filtering the NMR signals of other biological compounds in living cells making unfeasible to analyze the data. In addition, specific and non-specific binding of the antibiotic and other interacting molecules to the target can be separately studied with double difference measurements.
